Criminal Defense

People have often asked me over the years, “How can you represent criminals?”  The question actually makes me smile every time I hear it – I guess they never took that cookie from the cookie jar when their mother said “no” or did anything else wrong in their entire lives.  I guess their brothers, sisters, sons or daughters, cousins, nieces and nephews never did either.  I think that question is self-righteous, or naïve at best.  

What we do here is try to help people who have committed a crime get a fair sentence from the government/courts and we also do everything we can to help them learn from and not repeat the mistake.

In my experience, innocent people are also frequently accused, arrested and charged; we try to help those people prove their innocence (even though you are not supposed to have to do that).  

Whether representing the guilty or the innocent, it takes a zealous advocate to take on the government, local, state or federal, and all its resources and hold it to the rules of our great constitution.  That is what we do.
